Radio Free Montclair is a playful, inclusive, and thought-provoking reflection of the Montclair community—broadcasting a mix of topics, perspectives, and playlists.
Sometimes we'll be live, sometimes pre-recorded. Sometimes we’ll be on location, sometimes remote.
We’re of all ages, all backgrounds, and all levels of broadcasting experience, but at ALL times, we'll be ready to inspire and reboot our preconceptions.
Why
radio?
In this challenging and critical moment when we’re all trying to figure out “what comes next,” the need to share inspiring stories, ask challenging questions, and—perhaps most urgently—listen to one another has never been greater.
It’s our belief that homegrown, grassroots radio—more than any other medium—provides that simultaneously expansive yet intimate, current yet nostalgic, communal experience and platform.
